I was first contacted by
Buck on September 2, 2025. This FG-360 would be the 52nd Taiwanese model
that we know of and number 193 overall.
Good afternoon, Mr. Schryver I recently stumbled upon your web page regarding the Yamaha FG360 guitar. I have a 1975 unit with a serial number of 50417410 just inside the sound hole and 0624991 inside on the base of the neck. This was gifted to me back in the early 90's and somehow ended up in storage after a year or two and basically forgotten about. It was given to me by a friend who inherited it from an aunt who had played in a gospel group. The label inside is tan and states "Republic of China - made in Taiwan". I will be taking it to a luthier to see about lowering the action a little (it's pretty high) and then welcoming it back into the fold with my other various guitars. It has a couple of bumps and bruises from it's previous life, but those simply add to it's character. Still a beautiful instrument nonetheless and the sound is just wonderful.
