I was first contacted by Ed on February 15, 2017. This FG-360 is the 48th, 5-digit Japanese model we know of and number 70 overall.
Hi David,
I saw your webpage and thought I would follow up with you in regard to my FG 360. So i got mine for Christmas in 1974. The serial # is 40419. I am actually in the process of having a friend (a luthier) go over it for me and do a general overhaul. Other than numerous sets of string over the years it has never had anything done to it. I have played it a lot! Like you, I cherish the guitar. It was given to me when I was 13 by my music teachers Coincidentally my Dad had died right before Christmas that year so I am certain it was given to me to raise my spirits. It remains the only acoustic I own. I have several other instruments that I play regularly but this remains one of my favorites, I'm pleased to have found your site and have now become part of the "FG 360 club". Music is a huge part of my life and I still play out regularly. This guitar was a big part of my early music development. Best,
