I was first contacted by
Mike on January 21, 2020. This
FG-360 would be the 13th Japanese model not imported into the US that we know of
and number 117 overall. I read your article today about this guitar model and found it very interesting. I own a Yamaha FG-360. It has a tan label that reads “Yamaha FG-360 Nippon Gakki Co. Ltd. 10-1 Nakazawacho Hamamatsu Japan Made in Japan”. The letter “K” is stamped on a centre brace just below the label. The cross brace at the top of the sound hole has the stamped serial number “30127033”. Based on the advice in your article, this indicates that it was made in January 27, 1973. This makes sense because I bought it second hand in May 1973 in Stratford Ontario Canada from a guy who was dating my sister. I understand that he bought it from a local dealer in Stratford. Best regards, Mike Case Toronto, Ontario Our thanks to Mike for contacting us.
