I was first contacted by Craig on on March 6, 2023. This FG-360 would be the 22nd Japanese built unit not exported to the US that we know of and number 160 overall.
Hi David,

I bought an FG-360 while on vacation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  I was looking for something inexpensive to play while away from home.  I immediately loved the sound of this guitar, but didn't really know anything about it.  Honestly, my intent was to buy a cheap guitar and either sell it or give it away before returning home.  I found your web site when I googled the model, and found your information very interesting!  Because of your web site, I decided to take the guitar home with me.  You can see in the photos that the original headstock was snapped off and the current headstock is not stock.  The tuners seem to be original, and the mend job is pretty good, but the headstock doesn't allow access to the truss rod.  Hopefully I won't have to adjust it in the future.  Other than that, the guitar is in decent shape aside from a few scuffs and scratches.  I don't see a serial number, but there is a "36" hand written in white on the block of wood that supports the neck.  The bridge has two metal pieces, or perhaps metal tape, that feel like they are covering holes in the bridge.  Maybe this bridge is a replacement?  Do you know if the serial number might be located somewhere else?  Thanks for posting all the information you have about FG-360s.  You have me intrigued now!
Thanks,
Craig Branscomb
