I was first contacted by
Gary on on May 9, 2023. This FG-360 would be the 42nd Taiwanese guitar and number 165 overall that we know of.
Just came across your article re: the FG 360. I own
one, and will send info if you are still collecting.

A response to him got the following reply ... My FG 360. I bought it in either 1975 or 76, from Ken Parisien Pianos Ltd. a Yamaha family Music Centre. This store was here in Ottawa, but appears not to be around any more. I do have the original invoice, but the year is not visible. The day was November 12. I paid $354.91 Canadian in total, which included $45.95 for the case. The guitar itself was $275, and an additional $6.75 for Martin strings. There was a $23.28 tax as well. The numbers are a bit unclear but that's fairly accurate I believe. Obviously that was a very good price. At that time it appears that the US and Canadian dollar were on par. There is a note on the invoice indicating that I 'will pick the case up on Monday'. I assume therefore, that it was not the original case. It is hard with a blue interior. According to the invoice the S/N is: 0639270. I have no idea where that number came from, unless it's some Parisien stock number - ??? The actual S/N is 41127775 November 27, 1974. (As you have informed me - thanks for that). Hopefully the photos come through ok. The S/N is visible, sort of, in the 3rd shot. You can see that this guitar has been well used, if not necessarily looked after too well for the finish. I had it repaired a bit before the pandemic. Refretted, a new key, strings etc. action improved. It plays and sounds better now than ever. While I am not a great guitarist, mainly a chord guy, it has served me well as a fun party instrument as well as in a couple of groups that I perform/sing with. Let me know if this and the photos show up. Gary King Our thanks to Gary for contacting us.
