I was first contacted by
George on November 28, 2023. This FG-360
is the 28th Japanese model not exported to the US that we know of and number 172
overall. At the time of this posting, it is the oldest FG-360
that we have recorded in our records. Photos of this guitar
are pictured at the left.
Hello David, I have a tan label mahogany type. Wish I had
the Jacaranda. Tricky reading the number, right below the
neck inside the sound hole. Pretty standard location. Shakey
read, looks to be 20828214, am sure about the last 5
numbers. Thanks for sharing the illness, I caught it
bigtime, George
On April 25, 2024, George again contacted me ... Hello David, I contacted you last November with what you said was the oldest serial number. The guitar is pretty beat up, so I got another(!?!) This number is very clear and the back looks Jacaranda to me as opposed to the other which looks to be rosewood. Am not an expert on woods though, could be wrong. Anyhow, it’s 21227656, very sharp, regards, George S. This second guitar is also a Japanese model not imported to the US and is also quite old. It is number 29 from that era and number 179 overall. Our thanks to George for contacting us.
