I received an e-mail from Richard Hendry on April 19, 2013.  Here is his story:
Just saw your website. I have a Yamaha FG360 I bought new in late '74 or early 75, still in very good condition. Nippon Gakki. 40129. The back is two piece and it has chrome, enclosed Yamaha tuners. Interested in any info you can provide. Best regards,

Richard.

Richard again contacted me on March 28, 2018 with some additional information and pictures
Ahoy David:

I just came across your site on Yamaha FG360’s. I had an old cheap Yamaha guitar that, one day in 1974, when I open its case, I found that the neck had broken in half.
At the time my wife’s Uncle was a Yamaha musical-instrument distributor for the western United States. He got me a new FG360 to replace it. He charged me $175, which included a new hard-shell case.
Serial number is 40129. Made in Japan. Has “NK”  stamp below the inside sticker.
It is in almost new condition still. No scrapes or significant scratches. It has a wonderful tone even to this day.
Thanks for sharing all the info you found out about these amazing guitars. I would love any other info you may have on this model guitar.

Our thanks to Richard for sharing his story with us.
