I was first contacted by
Jon on September 7, 2020. This FG-360 would be the 86th
Japanese model
that we know of
and number 132 overall. Hello David: I stumbled upon your Yamaha FG-360 page while doing some searching on the web. Not sure why the pictures have rotated, hopefully you can straighten them. Shown here is my brother's FG-360, tan label, Nippon Gakki/Made in Japan with the 'NK' under the label. Serial number is 40606, which if I'm correct makes it June 6, 1974. This makes sense since I believe the time my mother bought it for him was around 1975 from a downtown music store; it was new if I recall. I don't know what the price was at the time. He doesn't play anymore and I play all the time and have used this guitar extensively over the years. My only critique is how close the strings are together but the neck profile is actually quite similar to my Gibson Les Paul R9/59 Re-issue. It has an ebony fretboard and bridge. It may need a neck re-set at some point but I love it. I'd love to have any other information you can provide. Cheers, Jon Popowich Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Our thanks to Jon for contacting us.
