David,
I’d wanted to get
some information about my FG-360 and had come across
your site a few years ago. I came back recently and saw
that people have been updating you with their models so
I thought I’d take a few pictures and give you some
history about mine.
I got this guitar in 1993 from
my father, who owned it since before I was born. He told
me that he bought it in Watertown NY in the mid 1970’s .
I am assuming he bought it new, because I was born in
1976 and this looks to be (according to the serial #
system you laid out on your site) a 1974 model, Made in
Taiwan (Rep. of China). I’m assuming he bought it (most
likely) in 1975 given it was built in late 1974 and
probably didn’t even get to the States until 1975. It
was my first acoustic guitar and the one I learned to
play on. And although it’s not in the best shape
(scratches and dents here and there) it is by far the
best sounding acoustic guitar I own and the one I have
the most fondness for. Even my father (who owns at least
20 acoustic guitars, Martins, and even a few hand-made
custom builds) thinks this guitar has amazing sound.
He’s not getting it back however.

I really appreciate the efforts
you’ve made to give the history of these wonderful
instruments.
Thanks
