David Milne's Yamaha FG-360

I received this e-mail David Milne on February 13, 2011:

Hi,

I have been looking around on the various sites regarding the FG-360 Yamahas and came across the interesting stories about the FG-360. Thought you may be interested to hear mine.

At the age of around 17 yrs I was living in San Diego CA my hometown with my grandmother and a spinster aunt who was a huge country and western music fan and faithfully listened to the local  KSON country music radio station.  My aunt entered into all sorts of competitions and quizzes.

Well, in 1976 my aunt Maryanne won a beautiful FG-360 with the engraved signed and dated signature of none other than the late Johnny Cash.  Johnny Cash was in San Deigo for a concert in 1976 and KSON radio station was doing the tour promotion with a chance to win the guitar ... and she got lucky and won it.  Aunt Maryanne kept it in mint condition and when she passed away a few years back I was given the guitar.

I don't play any musical instrument but this guitar is special to me because of my family history and the Johnny Cash "connection".

So this is my shared story about how I got this special FG-360 guitar. Hope you found it somewhat interesting?

Cheers David

Our thanks to David for sharing his story with us.
