Rick Poole's Yamaha FG-360

I received this e-mail from Rick Poole on March 1, 2006:

I have a 360 that I purchase new in 1979. It looks exactly like yours and I did pay $369, with the hardshell case.  About 7 years ago I took it to a local guitar maker who checked the neck, lowered the action, and did some filing on the frets. He wass very impressed with the guitar and how well it was constructed. It plays like a dream now as well. He said that one could not replace that guitar for less than $1200. That was before so many were being made in China. I'd like to have a nicer guitar, but I don't play that often now and every time I pick it up I am impressed by how easy it plays. I wish it had more mid-range and less low end, just my opinion. It was a gift from my mother, so I'll never part with it.
