I was first contacted by Rick on October 27, 2025.  This FG-360 would be the 54th Taiwanese model that we know of and number 195 overall.
I found your article about your experiences with the Yamaha FG-360 and your request for contact from owners. I bought one in Virginia today from a woman who was the sole owner. She didn't know the year of the guitar. It has a tan label saying it was made in Taiwan. There's an interesting second label that reads, "Use only extra light gauge or La Bella 710." I'd never heard of La Bella strings, but I found this website with silk and steel strings with 710 as part of the numbers. The serial number is 41127769. According to your decoding, that would be 1974/11/27, unit 769 (they were really cranking them out then!).

The bridge is tilted enough to show a bit of a belly behind it and a slightly sunken area in front. I may try a JLD Bridge Doctor on it to level it. A surprising thing to me is how shallow the nut is cut. The women from whom I bought it said it's never had any work done on it. Is that typical of older Yamahas? I'll include a photo of it.

I was really surprised at how good the condition is. I can believe only one person owned it. It has a hard shell case with a padded purple plush lining.

That's all the information I have on it.
Our thanks to Rick for contacting us.
