The first email came from Jeff Shubert on October 8, 2015.
Hi David,
While doing some research on my Yamaha FG-360 guitar I came
across your page. I too have a FG-360 guitar that was given
to me as a Christmas present by my parents in the early
80's. They bought the guitar at a pawn shop in PA for
$75.00. In your writing, you requested serial numbers from
these guitars. My number is 040403, indicating build date
of April 3, 1974. I also have and currently play most
everyday a, 1955 Martin D-28. This guitar was purchased new
by my Grandfather in 1955 for $125.00. He taught me how to
play and when he past away, my family gave the guitar to
me. This is a cherished instrument and has a lot of
history in my family. At 52 years of age, I am hoping I can
pass this guitar along to another family member to keep this
piece of history going.
Thanks for your interest in the Yamaha FG-360 and your
interesting writing.
Good Day......
