I was first contacted by Jim on November 12, 2015.
Hello David,
I ran across your page as I was looking
up information on my guitar tonight. The
tan label inside the body reads Yamaha
FG 360 Nippon Gakki CO LTD Made in
Japan. The serial number is 40313 and NK
is also stamped inside the guitar.
According to your article, the serial
number makes sense to me because I am
fairly certain I purchased the guitar
sometime during my junior year in
college which would've been 1974-75. It
was purchased near the University of
Minnesota Minneapolis campus in what is
called Dinkytown. This guitar has always
been special to me and it has traveled
and moved all over the country with me.
I have not played it much in recent
years but now have small grandchildren
and have decided to restring my guitar
and start the process of building some
calluses on my fingertips and learning
some songs my preschool grandkids would
like. Thanks for the great information!
