Gerry Tinkle's Yamaha FG-360

I received an e-mail from Gerry Tinkle, from Scappoose, Oregon, on February 22, 2014. Here is his story:

I own a Yamaha FG 360. I bought it in 1975 ( I think) and have the same, cheap, red, fuzzy fabric, lined case. I paid $200 for it at Portland Music Company in Portland, Oregon. Over the years I have had to replace three of the tuning keys.

I recently retired after 36 years of teaching high school English. I drug my FG 360 out of the closet where it had resided for years. I have been playing it everyday. It is a beast to play, so I may try your suggestion to change to lighter strings. The serial number of my guitar is 41226150. There is another number visible where the neck meets the body. It is 0649811. The label reads, "Republic of China Made in Taiwan." Thank you for all of the information about the 360's. I would welcome any information you could give me about my guitar. I would be interested to know what it is worth.
