The Schryver Family

Lilianna ... Month 4

Lilianna was baptised on September 18 at the Lutheran Church in Honolulu.  Miranda and Aaron were Godparents and spent about ten days there with Kristin, Mel and Lili.  These are some pictures from that time frame.

According to Mel's mom, Darline, the gown was made in Italy for her father's baptism.  She was baptized in it, as was Mel and a number of other grandchildren.  With Lili, it makes four generations who wore it for their baptism.

Now, from the other side of the family, Patrick Hurley was baptized in the blanket that was used.  He would have been Lilianna's great-great grandfather.  All four of his children were baptized in the blanket.  In addition, those four children had thirteen kids between them.  All thirteen of Patrick's grandchildren were also baptized in the blanket.  At this point there are 21 in the next generation, Patrick's great-grandchildren.  Many of them, including Kristin, David and Miranda were also baptized in this blanket.  David Jr's son, Gavin, and now Lilianna, are the first two in the fifth generation to be baptized in this blanket.
