The Schryver Family

John's Pass

On April 4, we took advantage of an invitation from our friends Gary and Carol Wilcox to join them at the Gulf Coast area near Madeira Beach.  They were checking out a condo they were thinking of renting for a month on the coast and asked us if we wanted to tag along.  We actually met them for breakfast at a restaurant in Zephyrhills and then headed for the Gulf.

After checking out the condo we headed a little further south to John's Pass.  This is considered Pinellas County's number one tourist attraction.  It's an old fishing village which is now a boardwalk and shopping area with a ton of little shops, water toy rentals and several restaurants, including Bubba Gumps and Hooters.

We walked around there for a while and then had lunch at a seafood place.  Our server was a woman who grew up in Henderson!
