Jefferson County Picnic
Every year, on the first Monday in
February, there is an event held at the Zephyrhills
Lions Club called the Jefferson County New York Florida
Picnic. It is a reunion of people who currently
live in Jefferson County and winter in Florida or who
once lived in Jefferson County and now live in Florida.
Anyone from Jefferson County is welcome, but those two
groups make up the majority of the members. A
group of our friends that we call the North Country
Connection meets there every year and many of us go to
dinner later that day.
The first picture is of the members of
Watertown High School classes of '69, '70 and '71 that
were in attendance. The second photo includes the
spouses. The photo-bomber in the first shot is Ron
Roch. He winters in Zephyrhills and was a
teacher/coach in Watertown when we were in school.
