Wasabi
There is a Japanese steakhouse in Plant
City, about one-half hour from our house, called the
Wasabi. It has become a tradition that a group of
our friends who grew up in the Watertown area and went
to school with David, all go to dinner here together on
the first Monday in February. Three of these
couples now live full-time in Florida, one couple in
Zephyrhills, one in Plant City and one in Leesburg.
The rest all winter in Florida. The first Monday
in February is when the annual Jefferson County New
York, Florida Picnic is held. That is an annual
reunion for current and former Jefferson County
residents held each year at the Zephyrhills Lions Club.
