The Schryver Family

Florida 2021

With the COVID pandemic, everything was different this year.  We headed to Winchester on October 5 and spent about a week with Kristin, Mel and the girls.  On Sunday, October 13, we were on the road again and arrived in Zephryhills on the 14th.  As we often do, we headed back north in mid-November for the holidays.  This time, however, we knew that it was going to be different.  Rather than the 20-25 people we normally have for Thanksgiving, only Aaron and Miranda were at our house on Pillar Point.  Also, it had already been decided that the Davis Christmas tradition and our usual Christmas with the kids wasn't going to happen.  Since we had a couple of dental appointments on December 7, we stayed for that, but then were on the road the next day.  We stopped in Virginia and stayed through Emily's birthday on December 11 but were southbound the next day.  We stayed two nights at the new home of our long-time friends Dave and Laura Little that afternoon.  They had just moved into a new home they just had built in Indian Land SC.  On the way, we did a side trip through Winston-Salem to pick up an electric piano David wanted to buy.  We left for Zephyrhills on Monday, December 14 and got there that evening.

Because of the pandemic, there were very few outings or trips this year.  We headed back up north in late April and got back to Pillar Point on the 28th.

Listed below are some day trips we did during the winter of 2019-2020.
