Hawaii ... the flight to Honolulu

We flew out of Watertown International Airport (ART) the morning of Wednesday, October 22.  We were supposed to leave at 7:25 AM.  They made the boarding call just before 7:00 and within a few seconds another announcement was made that they had received notification from Philadelphia, our first connecting flight, that there were "air traffic problems" there so we would be delayed.  We finally left a little after 8:30.  In the meantime, they announced that almost all of us would miss our connecting flights as a result.  The Watertown staff was very good.  They took care of changing our flights, gave us new boarding passes and re-tagged our bag.

Originally, we had 90 minute lay-overs in both Philadelphia and Phoenix and were scheduled to arrive in Honolulu around 5:30 PM, HST.  Because of the delay, we instead flew to Los Angeles.  The bad news is that we had over a four hour wait in Philly for the flight to LAX.  There, our wait was almost two hours.  Both of these flights went fairly well, but we didn't get into Honolulu until just before 10 PM.  That's when things took a turn for the worse.  We had checked one bag.  It didn't make it.  We were told that it had been scanned into LAX but didn't get scanned out.  It should arrive in the morning.

These pictures show us taking off in Watertown and our flight and landing in Philadelphia.  We didn't have a window seat on the Philly to LA flight so the last picture in the array is the only shot I got then.  It was dark on the leg to Honolulu, so we didn't get any pictures there.
