Hawaii ... Snorkeling at Haleiwa

On Tuesday, October 28, we got our first chance to go snorkeling.  We bought Kristin and Mel snorkel gear as part of their bridal shower gift and it was the first opportunity they had to use them.  We drove to the north shore and stopped at a beach just east of the town of Haleiwa, which is very close to where we stayed when we were there in 2000.  The seas were a bit rough, but we found a nice spot with coral reef just off-shore and got to see a number of fish.

After snorkeling, we went back to a local spot called Haleiwa Joe's where we had fresh crab cakes and fish sandwiches.  The we went for a drive just to see the hotel where we stayed.

Some of the underwater shots didn't come out very clear.  I will sort them out later.
