Hawaii ... Kristin and Mel's home

The day of our flight was a long day.  Although we napped on the planes, it was still 24 hours from start to finish.  One of the first things we did the next morning was to check the website and then the phone to see the status of our missing bag.  Both places told us that the bag had not yet been located.  Since we were told the previous night that it was in LA, we weren't sure what that meant so we found a number for the airport and called them.  They were able to transfer us to American Airlines customer service who told us that the bag had been scanned out of LAX and was due to arrive on a flight to Honolulu at 11:10 AM.  The wait was on.

The luggage was delivered in mid-afternoon.  Everything was there but there was one casualty.  Marcia had bought the girls an "I Love NY" snow globe so they wouldn't miss not having snow this winter.  Even though it was bubble wrapped and carefully packaged it didn't make it!

Mel had to work all night long from Thursday to Friday so we kind of chilled the rest of the day.  We did a little shopping to get out of the house so she could sleep to get ready for her 12-hour overnight shift.  Otherwise, we spent some time at their house and took the dogs to the dog park in the evening.
