Hawaii ... Waimea Falls

On Tuesday, October 28, as we were returning from snorkeling on the north shore, we passed an area called Waimea Valley with signs for the Waimea Falls.  We drove in to check it out.  It was a 3/4 mile hike to the waterfall, but it also included some botanical gardens and displays of ancient Hawaiian living.

This was a pay-per-view site.  It was $15 for adults, $10 for military and $7.50 for seniors.  We paid the fee and set out on nicely maintained paths, checking out the landscape as we went.
