Ala Moana Beach ... June 13, 2016

We decided that for our last full day in Hawaii, we wanted to spend some time at the beach.  We drove to Waikiki and found the Ala Moana Beach Park.  This is a very nicely maintained, easily accessible beach in the Waikiki area of Honolulu.  There was no charge, even for parking.  Our accolades to whoever runs this.  We saw three different "Gator"-type vehicles during the two hours or so we were there with employees picking up trash bags and in general making sure everything was tidy.  The place was pristine.

We assume that since we were there on a Monday, it was less busy than at other times.  This location is not all that far from the city and the airport.  We saw several planes take off, as well as a number of ships go by while we were there.  There were surfers, paddleboarders and others enjoying the sun and sand.  There was also some kind of photo shoot going on, we assume for a bridal magazine.  There were several photographers, girls in white dresses and guys in tux-like suits.
