Alley Restaurant ... June 13, 2016

After spending some time at the Ala Moana Beach in Waikiki we decided to check out a restaurant.  Just a couple of days earlier, we were watching an episode of Diners, Driver-ins and Dives and Guy Fieri featured the Alley Restaurant in the Aiea Bowl, not far from where Kristin and Mel live.

We found it and even had one of the entrees that was featured on the show.  Keep in mind that we are not food critics, but it didn't blow us away as we expected.  There is so much hype on the show and we were expecting something beyond imagination.  Didn't happen!  It was good, but neither of us would rave about it.  We had the Coca-Cola Turkey Sandwich.  It was served in about an eight inch hoagie roll, which was toasted and quite good.  There was probably more turkey on this thing than we would normally eat at a Thanksgiving dinner!  It was served with waffle-cut fries.  Both of us felt that the turkey and fries were good, but not exceptional.

So much for our foray into food critiquing.
