Halona Blowhole Lookout ... June 12, 2016

Our last significant stop on our loop of Oahu was the Halona Blowhole Lookout.  This is a popular tourist stop and attraction where the rock formations have created a natural "blowhole".  According to Wikipedia, "On windy days when the tide is high, the ocean breeze sends the waves rolling on to the shore where the rock formation then shoots sea spray high into the air through the cave acting like a geyser."

After visiting here, we discovered that in Hawaiin, halona means lookout, so literally, the sign here says lookout blowhole lookout.
