Waikahalulu Falls ... June 2, 2016

After our short hike into Alapena Falls, we drove downtown and visited Waikahalulu Falls.  Our directions indicated that it was on a short dead-end street in Honolulu.  There are botanical gardens at the locations and parking near the end of the street.

We found the falls.  We presume there were gardens there although they weren't that impressive.  It was more like a park.  Maybe we weren't really at the gardens.  The parking was entirely another story.  The street we were on had no parking signs its entire length.  Rather than parking, we stopped.  Marcia stayed with the car.  The falls were within sight of the street so it wasn't much of a hike.

The next day, we went back to re-take pictures of some of the waterfalls we had visited the day before.  We came to Waikahalulu to see if there was better parking on the other side.  There wasn't!  However, we later visited the Foster's Botanical Gardens and when we left there, we discovered that this waterfall is just behind and upstream from these gardens.  This was not the name of the gardens promoted at the waterfall so it is still a mystery.  These gardens were very nice.
