We again flew out of Watertown for this
trip to Hawaii. It is a little more expensive than
Syracuse but when a number of things are considered, it
isn't that much more to pay for the convenience.
Our flight left at 8:05 and we arrived
in Philadelphia at about 9:30. Our one hour
lay-over turned into about two-and-one-half hours.
It seems that our plane was in Miami and was delayed
because of weather down there. We were concerned
that it would cause a problem making our connection in
LA, but we got there with about 30 minutes to spare.
From LAX, it was a five hour, thirty minute flight to
Honolulu. Kris, Mel and Lili surprised us by
meeting us at the airport. We knew we were going
to be tired so we weren't planning on going to their
house until the next day. We picked up our rental
car and headed for Waikiki where we spent the next six
nights at the Aqua Palms Hotel.
On Tuesday, May 30, we checked out and
spent the rest of our visit at their place in Honolulu.
