Fireworks ... June 4,
2017
This was a Sunday. After church,
we drove out on the south shore to Kona's. This is
a beach bar/restaurant run by the Kona Brewing Company.
Afterward, we went back to Waikiki and spent the day at
the Hale Koa Hotel beach.
We had gone to this place on Friday
night for a big weekly fireworks display but it had been
cancelled because of high winds. In fact, the
event the week before had been cancelled because of
excessively high tides. Evidently, because it had
been cancelled two weeks in a row, they decided to have
a special display on Sunday.
We lounged by the pool for the afternoon
and then watched the fireworks which started at 8:30.
