RC Air Show ...
This is an annual event, touted as the
"biggest little air show in Hawaii". We went to it
last year when we were here and enjoyed it so much,
decided to return this year.
Except for a few pictures in the
beginning that are full-size aircraft, the air show was
comprised of model aircraft. Many of them burned
jet fuel and could reach speeds of up to 200 MPH.
One of the craziest things there were some acrobatic
helicopters. These guys did some things that are
physically impossible but they did them anyway.
They flew them upside down, on their sides and all sorts
of ways. A lot of the pilots here were national
champions in their fields. It is a not to be
missed experience if you are in Hawaii when the show is
on.
