Chain of Lakes
On Thursday, March 8, we drove over to
Winter Haven where our friends Dick and Connie Kingsbury
have stayed the past few winters. We went with
them up to Disney Springs at the Disney World facility.
We had lunch and spent the day with them wandering
around up there. That evening we had dinner at a
pizza place/sports bar in Winter Haven where we
participated in a trivia contest.
The next day, we met other friends Gary
& Carol Wilcox and Dale & Julie Call at a marina in
Winter Haven. We rented a pontoon boat and spent
the day touring the Chain of Lakes. This is a
series of about a dozen lakes that are inter-connected
with canals in the Winter Haven area. Dale has
spent a few sessions on these lakes and he piloted.
We returned to Zephyrhills after dinner there.
